HMV listening posts
Eagle Labs Ltd is a preferred technology supplier for HMV Group. The brief was to create a touch screen listening post, which would allow customers to scan a product or do a search via a virtual keyboard, then listen to the tracks from the selected album.
We were asked to build the touch screen content as well as provide the hardware system, which had to be both secure and very reliable. HMV also required an automated remote monitoring process to check peripheral reliability at the units.
Incredibly, the playlist of over 250,000 tracks covering virtually the entire in store product range can be accessed in real time. Currently we are rolling these systems out across the UK and already HMV have enjoyed a very positive response from their customers.

HMV home delivery service
Eagle Labs Ltd provides self service ordering kiosks.
The touch screen kiosks enable HMV customers to browse through the company's product catalogue and make purchases using an unattended Chip and PIN device. Customers can order products that are out of stock or unavailable at that particular store, and this is a key part of HMV's multi-channel strategy. Installing this new service with its enhanced level of convenience essentially brings together a number of sales channels: in-store, online and unattended payment kiosks. This also provides a flexible method of purchasing for its customers - it means shoppers can get exactly what they want, when they want it.

NHS Life Store
Eagle Labs Ltd has been involved in several large roll outs and technology projects over the last few years, but this project is unique as it brings together the most up to date customer facing technology all in one store.
The site features several different sized touchscreens (from 15" to 42"), internet kiosks and multimedia viewing / listening posts. Each of the screens can be controlled locally and remotely, and play a wide range of health related and local service content. Initial content was created by Eagle Labs Ltd and the local Primary Care Trust, and the media installed is one of the first and largest of its kind in the UK - a huge 126" seamless screen.
Eagle Labs Ltd supplied, installed and are supporting technology for the whole store, giving flexibility to the staff on how the site can be used. The seminar area includes large displays with networked cameras that provide content across the immediate screen and any other in store. Also featured are 42" touch screens built into floor-to-ceiling brushed steel enclosures, showing internal and external events as well as job information within the NHS. Customers can touch the scrolling content and learn more via large pop up windows.
Eagle Labs Ltd built all the kiosk enclosures integrating blue LED lighting effects. The site has directional sound, which can provide specific auditory information based on the immediate display content that the customers are viewing. Eagle Labs also created a bespoke leaflet download area built into a wall, with a vertical A4 printer system. The health bar has two touch screens that offer food and diet recommendations - these screens work through the glass on the table top. The project also included a bespoke content management system giving local password control for updating and changing scheduled content. The system also permits access remotely via our managed service.

Cadbury's countdown clock
Eagle Labs Ltd was involved in technology at the Commonwealth games - a good example of this was the countdown clock for Cadbury's leading up to the games. We have completed many exciting projects over the years including touch screen deployment at key football stadiums during the World Cup.

Library information kiosks
It is not uncommon for organisations to turn to Eagle Labs Ltd knowing our kiosks can cope with heavy public use. Universities such as Coventry use Eagle Labs touch screen kiosks to offer self-service information to their students. Units that promote specific information such as department services or way finding are common features - our designs also consider DDA compliant guidelines.

Nestlé vending units
Nestlé wanted to create the 'wow' factor on their vending units. The result was a touch screen operated electro-luminescent vending machine, designed by Eagle Labs Ltd.
The units had built-in miniature touch screens delivering 'did you know?' information to the users. The electro-luminescent lighting effect had never been produced on panels of this size before and could be seen from five miles away!

Mobile phone fast charge units
Have you ever been caught out with a flat battery in your mobile phone? We have, so we thought we would build a public space phone charge unit.

iCharge
Retailers, restaurateurs and coffee shop owners, as well as other public facilities operators, can now offer a phone and MP3 charging service. These self-service, fast charge units are proving very popular and are simple to use. A customer enters their phone number at the touch screen, then places their phone into the charge pod which closes securely around the phone, leaving them free to go off shopping or maybe have a coffee.
